Birds

Many migratory and songbirds can be found in stream corridors. Some examples of these occasional  vistors include Blue Jays, Brown Thrashers, and Northern Cardinals.

Other birds rely on the waterways for their food and can also be found nesting in the riparian area close to streams. Some of these water specialists include Great Blue Herons, Wood Ducks, and Prothonotary Warblers.
