Fish,
Amphibians & Reptiles

Both of our monitoring sites are in shallower streams, so we usually find smaller fish, such as Darters, Western Mosquitofish, the Minnow group, and small Stonecat Madtoms. As our streams get deeper and wider, Bluegill, Longear Sunfish, and invasive Silver Carp can be found.

Amphibians in our area include Bullfrogs, Spring Peepers, and Chorus Frogs. Salamanders are not often seen due to their nocturnal habits.

Reptiles that can be found in the stream area include turtles such as the Red-Eared Slider, and snakes like the Northern Water Snake.
